Presentation: Collaborating with the private sector on global energy technology challenges – The IEA perspective
Background
Founded in December 2015 at COP21 in Paris, Mission Innovation is a multilateral initiative that aims to achieve global clean energy technology performance breakthroughs and cost reductions. The 21 governments participating in Mission Innovation represent well over 80% of global public investment in clean energy research and development (R&D). Each government pledges to seek to double its clean energy innovation budget over the next five years.
About the webinar
The IEA is proud to partner with the Mission Innovation Business and Investor Engagement sub-group to present this one hour webinar as part of a series of Innovation Webinars planned for 2016-17. The focus of the webinar is: Collaborating with the private sector on global energy technology challenges.
The IEA will outline the tools and methods it uses to engage the private sector on energy technology issues, drawing from its long-standing experience collaborating with the private sector to produce analysis, outlooks, market studies and forecasts as well as through the Energy Technology Network and its Technology Collaboration Programmes, the IEA Energy Business Council and other forums.

A 40 minute presentation followed by a 20 minute interactive Q&A session.
