Workshop — Paris, France

Power System Flexibility Expert Workshop

Background

On 6 February 2020, in the framework of the Clean Energy Ministerial's Power System Flexibility Campaign, the International Energy Agency hosts its Annual Expert Workshop at the IEA Headquarters in Paris. On the first day the discussions will be structured around the three main-blocks of this year’s workplan: Digitalisation, Market Design for Demand Side Solutions and Sector Coupling for Electrified Transport.

The workshop will convene a diverse and international group of senior policymakers, industry representatives, experts and other major stakeholders. It will be held under the Chatham House Rule.

The event will be followed by the Market Design Workshop organised jointly by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the Swedish Energy Markets Inspectorate (Ei’s) and the Swedish Smartgrid Forum (SGF). This workshop seeks to provide a dedicated regulatory dialogue in order to present and discuss interim findings of Ei’s Discussion Paper on demand-side flexibility.
