IEA at COP28: Youth actions on Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE)
Background information
Dubai time: 8 December 2023, 13:00-14:30.
Governments and international organisations are supporting the climate actions of youth through various initiatives, analyses and tools. India is one of the leading countries which encourage the adoption of sustainable lifestyles of the young generation. During COP27, India launched the ‘In Our LiFEtime’ campaign, which gave a global call for ideas from youth across the world to submit their climate actions that contribute to lifestyles for the environment within their capacity, which are sustainable and scalable, and serve as good practices that can be shared globally.
Building on the LiFE initiative and the In Our LiFEtime campaign, this event seeks to engage youth representatives at COP28 on their engagement and innovations for climate action involving local communities on sustainable lifestyles for a healthier, cleaner, and more equitable planet for all.
