G20 Energy Ministerial Special Session on Sustainable Fuels, Chemical and Materials

Background information

This special session during the G20 meeting of energy ministers in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil – hosted by Brazil’s G20 Presidency and Italy’s G7 Presidency – will convene governments, industry leaders and international organizations with the aim of advancing global efforts to accelerate the production and use of sustainable fuels, chemicals and materials. The IEA, which is supporting this work, will deliver a keynote speech on sustainable fuels, highlighting the main messages in its recent report, Towards Common Criteria for Sustainable Fuels.
