World Energy Outlook 2022 Extended Dataset
WEO-2022 Extended Dataset including more detailed information at regional and country-level for APS, STEPS across projected years (2030, 2035, 2040, 2045, 2050) as well as historical data (2010, 2015, 2020, 2021), Advanced Economies aggregated figures for NZE, and WEO chapters figures, investments, fossil fuel prices, etc.
WEO-2022 Free Dataset includes world aggregated data for all three modelled scenarios (APS, STEPS, NZE) and selected data for key regions and countries for 2030, 2040 and 2050, as well as historical data (2010, 2020, 2021). Access to this dataset is free of charge for non-commercial usage.
WEO-2022 Extended Dataset includes more detailed information at regional and country-level for APS and STEPS (including detailed energy balance, electrical capacity, electricity generation, CO2 emission by region, etc.) across projected years (2030, 2035, 2040, 2045, 2050) as well as historical data (2010, 2015, 2020, 2021). The World and Advanced economies aggregate (ADVECO) also includes the NZE Scenario.
The Extended Dataset also includes WEO-2022 chapter figures, investment, trade and Power sector capacity addition and retirement, fossil fuel prices, refining capacity and runs, power generation technology costs and assumptions and air pollution data.
See below (Documentation section) for documents showing the structure of the data of the extended dataset and the differences between the two datasets.
N.B.: Please note that the data behind the following figures is not available in the extended data set: Figures 2.2, 2.3, 3.5, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 3.11, 3.12, 3.13, 3.14, 3.15, 3.16, 3.17, 3.18, 3.19, 3.20, 3.21, 3.23, 3.24, 3.25, 3.26, 3.27, 3.28, 3.29, 3.30, 4.7, 4.12, 4.18, 5.18, 6.6, 6.10, 6.11, 6.12, 6.16, 7.9, 7.16, 7.17, 8.10, 8.12, 8.14.
Please note that your use of this data is subject to our terms and conditions.
In particular, you would need to enter into a separate Licence Agreement with the IEA and pay an additional fee if you wish to use the IEA’s data, including scenario data, in any type of modelling for the purpose of creating derived data or derived products, and any services to distribute or display such derived products.
For example, you require a separate Licence Agreement to create metrics, alignment pathways, decarbonisation pathways and/or temperature scores at sector and/or company level in order to calculate and/or assess the climate compliance of investment portfolios and investment assets.
If you intend to have such usage, please contact email@example.com.
