Rights requests
Before contacting the IEA for written authorisation to use IEA content, please check the notice or terms and conditions relevant to the IEA content you want to use, available here. If your intended usage is permitted by the IEA’s terms, you do not need to obtain a separate written authorisation, provided you attribute the IEA in accordance with the relevant notice or terms. Note that most IEA written content is licenced under a CC BY 4.0 licence.
Remember that the IEA does not permit you to reproduce any material which is attributed to a third party copyright owner. You must seek authorisation to use such third party material separately and directly from the relevant copyright owner. You may also need to comply with the third party owner’s requirements regarding attribution in each case.
Only if your intended use of our content is not permitted under the relevant notice or terms and conditions, please download and complete the form below, then send the completed form via email to rights@iea.org. We receive a high volume of requests; your request is will be considered quicker if you complete the form. Please allow at least a week for us to provide a first response to any request (noting that it may take longer to confirm if your usage is permitted).
