NOM-017-ENER/SCFI-2012: Energy efficiency and safety requirements for CFLs. Limits and testing methods

Source: International Energy Agency
Last updated: 12 May 2021
This standard sets the minimum efficiency limits in lumen per watt that all self-ballasted compact fluorescent lamps must meet, maximum leakage current, maximum temperatures and ratio of the temperature of the ballast envelope versus time. See the attachements for the minimum levels of energy efficiency. The standard NOM-017-ENER/SCFI-2012 supersedes the standard NOM-017-ENER/SCFI-2008. The 2012 version has more stringent requirements in terms of luminous efficacy (in lumen per watt) than the 2008 version.
