NOM-005-ENER-1996: Energy efficiency of household electric washing machines. Limits, testing methods and labeling

This standard establishes the maximum energy consumption levels (kWh/year) for washing machines according to their type (agitator, impeller and drum), their operation (manual, semi-automatic and automatic), and their size (less at 3.9 kg, 4-5.9 kg, and 6-10 kg).
