NOM-016-ENER-2016 Energy Efficiency for Electric Motors

The regulation establishes the efficiency values, the test method for its evaluation, the acceptance criteria and the minimum information specifications for electric motors of of nominal power of 0.746 kW up to 373 kW and of the following features: alternating current, three-phase, induction, and type squirrel cage. 

 

The regulation is intended to promote energy savings and contribute to the preservation of non-renewable natural resources in the country, and is equivalent to an IE3 standard.
