Energy Conservation Training Centre
The Energy Conservation Training Centre was established as an integral part of GDRE/MENR within the scope of the Energy Conservation Project, carried out jointly by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and GDRE/MENR; its activities started in 2001.
The centre provides training programmes, not only for Turkish industry stakeholders, but also to those of neighboring countries. It is expected that the programme, in addition to the energy management training, will result in an energy efficiency increase of 10% throughout Turkish industry due to improvements in energy management. The centre contains equipment commonly available in all factory settings for practical training, including a combustion furnace, boiler, steam trap unit, revolution machinery (fan and pump), air compressor and lighting. The energy managers course is ongoing, managed by GDRE/MENR. It aims to disseminate and establish these types of plants in the country by authorised originations to conduct energy efficiency training.
