Dominican Republic Net-Metering Regulation 2011

Regulation to establish the conditions for access to the Net Metering Program in the Dominican Republic. The Regulation establishes the rights and responsibilities of the Distribution Companies and the Customers. The main goals are:

 

  • (1) Establish the procedure for applications and requirements that should be known by the customers with self-generation systems using renewable sources of energy and wish to participate in the Net Metering Program, interconnecting to the Distribution Company or Transmission.
  • (2) Define how it is reflected in the invoice of the Customer the collection of energy consumed or the accreditation of the generated and exported energy by the Customer.
  • (3) Promote and encourage the use of Renewable Energy Sources.
  • (4) Contribute to the decarbonization process of the Environment.
