Mexican Petroleum Law

This Mexican Petroleum Law is one of the "21 secondary laws" passed by the Mexican legislation after the constitutional reform. This law established the Mexican Petroleum Fund that was mandated to collect, manage, invest and disburse income derived from the exploraiton and extraction of hydrocarbons. Once the fund reaches 3% of GDP, up to 10% of the fund's yearly increment can be spent on science, innovation and renewable energy.
