Biofuel Production Programme

This national financial programme aims to develop investments for biofuel production (diester and ethanol). Biofuel production progressed significantly from 1994 to 2000. Consumption of ethanol derived from beets and wheat rose from 38 500 to 90 437 tonnes and consumption of rapeseed and sunflower oil esters rose from 64 400 to 308 870 tonnes.
