The Maryland Clean Energy Production Tax Credit encourages the adoption of power generating renewable energy sources. Applicants can receive a USD/kWh credit against the state income tax for a five-year period for electricity generated by eligible resources. The minimum tax credit limit is USD 1,000 and the maximum incentive is USD 2.5 million (over the five-year period).
