The policy aims to reduce the dependence on imported sources of energy by increasing share of renewable energy in the energy mix, cross-sectoral energy conservation and energy efficiency standards. It aims for energy efficiency and conservation through Demand-Side Management (DSM) and Supply Side Management (SSM).
