Alliance Programme

Last updated: 15 October 2019

Created in 2015, the Alliance Program is the result of a partnership between the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), the Association of Large Industrial Energy Consumers and Free Consumers (ABRACE), the National Electricity Conservation Program (PROCEL) and the industries.

The program is carried out through voluntary agreements between the CNI and large energy-intensive companies (minimum consumption of 20MW), in which both offer financial compensation to enable the hiring of external consultants (in many cases international or university consultants) and specialized studies aimed at improving efficiency in industrial processes.

The objective is to implement energy efficiency programmes in 100 companies from the beginning of the program to 2022, being 12 in the first year and subsequently 22 yearly. There is an objective of 5% reduction in energy intensity for the participating companies.
