MEPS and Labelling for Air Conditioning (Ministerial Regulation No.57/2017)

The MEPS and labelling for Air Conditioning regulation has been enacted in December 2017 and in force July 2018, for capacity of 27000 BTU/hr inverter and non-inverter types.

 

This regulation also concerns that the MEPS testing procedure for the AC will be carried appropriately by the certified agency. The star rating starts from 1 star - for the AC which has a minimum EER 8.53- to 4 star rating for the AC which has minimum EER 10.41.

 

MEPS Schedule:

31 July 2018: 8.53 EER

1 Aug 2018 - 31 July 2020: 9.01 EER

1 August 2000: 9.96 EER

 

Label:

1-star: 8.53 < EER < 9.01

2-star: 9.01 < EER < 9.96

3-star: 9.96 < EER < 10.41

4-star: 10.41 < EER
