The Energy Efficiency in Government Operations (EEGO) policy aims to reduce the energy consumption of Australian Government operations with particular emphasis on the energy performance of its buildings.
It establishes energy performance standards for office buildings and portfolio-wide energy intensity targets (7500MJ/person per year for tenant light and power; and 400MJ/m2 per year for central services). It also imposes reporting requirements on government organizations, the results of which are presented in the annual report Energy Use in the Australian Governments Operations, available at:https://www.energy.gov.au/government-priorities/energy-productivity-and-...
