Decree n. 199 on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources

This decree aims at translating the EU directive on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources to Italy's legislative framework. 
It notably sets a mandate to suppliers of petrol, diesel and methane to achieve a share of at least 16% of renewable sources by 2030. Starting from 2023, the share of biofuels blended with gasoline shall stand to at least 0.5%, to increase to 3% from 2025 onwards.
