List of goods subject to import and export restrictions

The United Arab Emirates maintains restricts the importation and exportation of certain energy related products. The following goods require official pre-approval before being imported or exported:

• Air-conditioning machines and equipment, cooling or deep-freezing machines and equipment, weighing and standardization equipment, propelling, piling, loading or unloading machines and equipment (such as elevators, escalators, conveyor belts, cable-transporters (telefric) and water heaters.)
• Diesel, fuel
• Vehicles
• Radio chemical elements and radioisotopes 
• Electric transformers which capacity exceeds 500 KVA
• Thermal alternators
• Nuclear reactors, boilers, automatic tools and equipment with their spare parts
