Future Made in Australia - Renewable Energy Superpower (Hydrogen)

As part of the Future Made in Australia plan, the Australian government announced AUD 8.0 billion in funding for the production of renewable hydrogen.

Specifically, this measure allocates:

• AUD 6.7 billion towards the Hydrogen Production Tax Incentive to support the growth of the renewable hydrogen industry.
• AUD 1.3 billion for a 10-year extension to the Hydrogen Headstart programme, which supports early movers in the renewable hydrogen industry.
• AUD 17.1 million towards infrastructure planning, safety training, and regulation as part of the National Hydrogen Strategy.
