Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules

As of April 1, 2024, solar projects supported, allocated or commissioned by the Indian government, central nodal agencies and state distribution utilities are required to source photovoltaic modules from the approved list of Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). 

The ALMM requires the compulsory registration of solar PV module manufacturing in India. The ALMM domestic content requirement dates back to January 2019 and was suspended in March 2023 over concerns of inadequate domestic supply of modules. Thus, projects commissioned before March 31, 2024 will be reviewed in a separate process.
