FDI Act

The FDI Act, implemented by the Swedish Parliament, entered into force on 1 Dec 2023, .

The FDI Act requires screening of foreign direct investments that may pose threat to Sweden's national security, public order or public safety. This includes essential services, security-sensitive activities, military equipment, dual-use items, critical raw minerals, metals and minerals, location date or sensitive personal data as well as emerging technologies and other strategic protected technologies.
