Turkiye - Azerbaijan Interconnection Project

In 2023, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkiye announced the plan of signing a electricity interconnection project with the Azerbaijani electricity power company AzerEnerji.  The cooperation will ease the energy supply challenges in the two countries and will allow them to share their know-hows. The project will also help Turkiye to meet its energy demand and achieve carbon emissions neutrality by 2053.
