Turkiye Ukraine Free Trade Agreement

In 2023, Turkiye and Ukraine agreed to ratify a Free Trade Agreement allowing duty-free or partially duty-free trade between the two countries. The Agreement is expected to enter into force in the first quarter of 2024. 

The two governments expressed their interest in the mutual expansion of various sectors including renewable energy, gas production and storage, green metallurgy, and environmentally friendly transport. 

Liberalization of goods and trade in services between the two countries is expected to be active gradually after the agreement taking into force. The agreement includes removal of customs duties, Technical Barriers to Trade (TBTs), antidumping and countervailing acts, regulation of intellectual property, application of sanitary and phytosanitary measures, and bilateral and global safeguards between the two countries.
