MERCOSUR-India Free Trade Agreement

The Free Trade Agreement between MERCOSUR and India entered into force on 2009, fully or partially eliminating import tariff for most energy products and technologies, including: 

  • Aluminium, not alloyed (HS Code 760110)
  • Anhydrous ammonia (HS Code 2814100)


Rule of origins apply to qualify for the preferential tariff treatment. For the products listed above, the agreement qualify the product as originating as long as the value of the non-originating inputs of the member countries does not exceed 40% of the final value product.
