The Buildings Program

The Buildings Programme launched in 2010 aims to significantly reduce the energy consumption and CO2 emissions of the Swiss building stock. Efforts include replacement of fossil fuels based heating systems or efficient use of thermal insulation building envelop. The programme remains to be a central element of Swiss energy and climate policy up to today.

It is financed by funds collected from CO2 tax as well as cantonal subsidies.
