Support for decarbonising the economy

Austria enacted a new financial package in its 2023 budget with the aim to support the decarbonisation of its economy until 2040. The funds will be allocated until 2026 and will support the following activities:

• Decarbonising energy intensive industries
• Support for households for energy efficient heating and cooling
• Support to reduce energy imports
• Subsidies for companies to become climate neutral
• Subsidies for research for green technologies and digitalisation
