Powering Australia - Electric Car Discount

Through its October's 2022-23 budget, the federal government enforced a AUD 410 million Electric Car Discount programme over four years, exempting battery, fuel cell and plug-in hybrid electric cars from fringe benefits tax and import tariffs.
This policy aims to foster the adoption of electric vehicles in the country.
