Compensation mechanism for electricity suppliers affected by the electricity price cap

The Czech government enacted a decree providing for the compensation framework mechanism for electricity suppliers affected by the electricity price cap during 2023. The compensation will be paid by the national gas and electricity market operator OTE in case the capped price will not cover the supplier's costs based on wholesale market prices and adequate retail margin, subject to meeting several conditions.
