METI Geological survey funding

The Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Agency for Natural Resources and Energy provides subsidies for joint resource exploration projects, including geological surveys, carried out abroad in the early stages by private companies and public bodies. Subsidies cover the costs of geological, geochemical, geophysical and borehole surveys.
