Cost of Living Support Bill 2022

Temporary fuel excise relief: 6 months from 30 March 2022 - 28 September 2022. Excise tax on petrol, diesel and similar petroleum-based products, including oils and grease manufactured or produced in Australia or imported into Australia is reduced by 50 per cent.

One off cost of living payment (AUD 250): Providing a one-off, income-tax-exempt payment for energy bills to 6 million eligible pensioners, welfare recipients, veterans and eligible concession card holders in April 2022.
