Home retrofit subsidy

In the framework of its Economic and Social Resilience Plan, the French government enacted an enlargement of "Ma prime Rénov", a subsidy scheme aimed at boosting home retrofits, from mid-April 2022 to the end of the year. The scheme was later extended in 2023.

Households seeking to switch from fossil fuel-based to renewable energy-based heating systems are eligible for an additional EUR 1000 support. As of 1 January 2023, support for the installation of high-efficiency gas-based heating systems is scrapped.
