Critical Minerals Research Program Request for Information
The Critical Minerals Research Program, funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, is a $675 million grant program designed to address vulnerabilities in the domestic critical minerals supply chain. This Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of Energy solicits feedback from industry, academia, research laboratories, government agencies, state and local coalitions, labor unions, tribes, community-based organizations, and others, on the structure of the program, timing and distribution of funds, and selection criteria.
Specifically, the Critical Minerals Research Program will develop materials, components and technologies, promote efficient production and use, circular economy approaches, and ensure a long-term, diverse, secure, and sustainable supply of critical materials.
