Targeted measures to compensate increased energy prices

In response to the significant rise of energy prices in Finland over the past year, the government has decided on temporary targeted measures:

  • Increase of the maximum deduction for commuting expenses, from EUR 7 000 to EUR 8 400 and increase of the mileage allowance for commuting expenses from EUR 0.25/km to EUR 0.30/km
  • Loan guarantee to support climate-friendly household investments.
  • Preparation of an occupational diesel tax system.
  • Targeted financial support is provided according to income and the region and the obligation to provide information in electricity contracts.
