Resolution 421/2014

The resolution determines the Terms of Reference for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for exploratory drilling activities in the hydrocarbons sector. 

Key relevant issues that impact methane emissions are:

• Identification and inventory of atmospheric emissions, including air quality assessment of the area of interest (Section 5.1.8.3) 
• Development of mitigation actions towards the management of emission sources and regulatory compliance, including dispersion models (Section 7.8)
