Net Zero Strategy - Support for the transition to electric vehicles

The UK government has committed an additional £620 million of funding to support the transition to electric vehicles (EV). The funding will support the roll-out of charging infrastructure, with a focus on local on-street residential charging and targeted plug-in vehicles grant. 

 

It will also add an extra £350 million to the existing £1 billion commitment to support the electrification of UK vehicles and their supply chains.

 

More details will be published later in the year, including an EV infrastructure strategy.
