The second point of the economy component from Croatia's Recovery and Resilience Plan focuses on the energy transition, with the aim of decarbonizing the energy sector.
The measures include:
- The revitalization, construction and digitization of energy systems and supporting infrastructure (HRK 2.9 billion);
- Encouraging better energy efficiency, district heating and the use of renewable energy sources (HRK 685 million);
-Developing the use of hydrogen and new technologies (HRK 353 million);
-Investing in biorefineries for the production of advanced biofuels (HRK 1 billion).
The total budget in EUR, as noted in EU Legislation upon the Commission's endorsement of Croatia RRF plan is 658.3 million.
