National Budget 2021- Support for livestock biomass energy

The Japanese government has allocated 2.8 billion yen to support the introduction of facilities and machinery such as biogas plants that use livestock waste to increase local production for local consumption of energy to meet a carbon neutral society.

 

The target entities are local public organisations, private organisations, etc.

 

The main requirements are to meet the following three requirements: 

(1) Combined use of energy and fertilizer, 

(2) Local production for local consumption of energy, 

(3) Improvement of profitability

 

Other requirements including expenses for power generation equipment to sell electricity using FIT are not covered by the subsidy.
