National Budget 2021 - Solar PV installation

As a part of the third supplementary budget to the 2021 national budget, the Japanese government allocated JPY 5 billion for solar power generation equipment to allow solar energy to be produced for one’s own use.      

 

Under this model, energy companies offer renewable electricity to businesses and individuals and install panels that they will continue to own and maintain where their clients reside. Meanwhile, businesses and individuals buy renewable electricity at a fixed long-term price with minimal risk of price hikes and only pay for the electricity consumed.
