Fourth supplementary budget 2020 - Finland's battery cluster development

The Fourth Budget proposal for 2020 announced by the Finnish government includes 300 million EUR for developing a battery cluster. The funding is distributed to the Finnish Minerals Group to support the production of lithium-ion battery materials. 

 

The allocation of funding follows Finland's National Battery Strategy, published in January 2021. The goal is for Finland's battery sector will lead in innovation, skills, and jobs by 2025.
