Through the Biodiversity Foundation, the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge will open demands for subsidies in employment and professional training in the green (and blue) economies.

The policy will support people who have been unemployed for six months, with subsidies ranging from 1900 EUR to 3440 EUR, while subsidies for professional training will be supported with a budget of 5.7 million EUR, and project-specific budgets will range from 100 000 to 300 000 EUR.

The following strategy is based on pre-existing frameworks from the Biodiversity Foundation created in 2007, and financed by the European Social Funds as of 2014, with special relevance in green recovery to face the current Covid-19 crisis.

Employment in the green sector, include creation of positions in the production of renewable energies, as well as other environmentally-friendly positions. The policy also aims to diminish circular carbon.
