Programme and large scale pilots on natural-gas-free neighbourhoods

A structured, area-specific approach has been devised for the built environment, whereby sustainability measures and the task of making neighbourhoods free of natural gas are delegated to municipalities themselves. Housing associations have an important role to play in driving the transition forward. Their housing stock includes a large number of comparable housing types, which offers good potential for scaling up the efforts to make housing more sustainable.
