National Hydrogen Strategy

On 24 February 2023, the Energy and Climate Change Ministerial Council (ECMC) agreed to a Review of the 2019 National Hydrogen Strategy. 

The Hydrogen Strategy aims to: 

• Explore Australia’s clean hydrogen potential
• Consider future scenarios with ranging growth possibilities
• Outline an adaptive approach that equips Australia to scale up quickly
• Include showcases from each state and territory
• Detail nationally coordinated actions involving governments, industry and communities.
