IEA Reporting on Gas Market Analysis

US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) is hosting a webinar to discuss recent global natural gas market trends and developments, illustrated by a presentation by the International Energy Agency (IEA) from its latest analysis. The IEA’s new quarterly report offers a detailed review of 2020 gas supply and demand fundamentals and figures, an analysis of recent developments in global gas markets over the northern hemisphere’s heating season, and an updated near-term outlook for 2021.

IEA will discuss the major observations from the report, which will also be relevant from India’s gas sector perspective. This will be followed by a panel discussion on India Gas markets, involving eminent representatives from some of the key players of Natural Gas sector in India. The panel discussion will focus on how, Natural Gas, can be the transition fuel for sustainable energy system transformation in India. The panel will also talk about how the US India Gas Task Force, has been instrumental, in helping India identify innovative policy reforms to support India’s ambitions to transition to a natural gas economy, as well as lower market barriers in India for U.S. natural gas and related technologies.
