Canada 2022: Energy Policy Review
Background information
Canada has made a series of international and domestic commitments, putting the country on a path towards an ambitious transformation of its energy system. Canada’s current energy and economic profile presents both challenges and opportunities in achieving these targets given its profile as a major producer, consumer and exporter of energy, as well as its highly decentralised system of government. In this report, the IEA provides energy policy recommendations to help Canada effectively manage this transformation of its energy sector.
