This analysis only covers procurement methods for the sale of electricity; it excludes any additional subsidies on investment costs such as tax credits, accelerated depreciation, rebates, grants, etc.). PPA = power purchase agreements are defined in this report as contracts that are bilaterally negotiated. “Rest of world” (right graph) refers to the Middle East and North Africa, Eurasia and sub-Saharan Africa. “Unidentified” refers to countries for which the breakdown by procurement was not applied.
