Level of warming for IEA member and association countries, 2000-2020

For each country, the average surface temperature for the period 2000-2020 is extracted from the Weather for Energy Tracker. If the slope of a linear regression line of temperatures is higher than 0.042 °C per year (+0.011 °C from the world average) in a certain country, the climate hazard level of the country is “high”. If the slope of a linear regression line of temperatures is lower than 0.020 °C per year (-0.011 °C from the world average) in a certain country, the climate hazard level of the country is “low”. The world average was calculated based on the land temperature data from the NOAA National Centers for Environmental information, Climate at a Glance: Global Time Series, published May 2021, retrieved on June 1, 2021.
