National Programme for Rural Electrification of Rural Areas (PNER)

The Rural Electrification program’s objective is part of the Long-term vision “Angola 2025” to achieve a rural electrification rate of 60%. Installation of solar generation systems is the program’s main method because of Angola’s high irradiation levels. The Ministry of Energy and Water (MINEA) is the main government institution driving the rural electrification program.
