Agreement with Lithuanian Railways for energy savings

The Ministry of Energy and the largest railway group in the Baltic States, Lithuanian Railways have signed a cooperation agreement on energy savings. Lithuanian Railways plans to save 1.3 TWh of end-use energy by the end of 2030. The agreement is part of the measures provided for in the Law on Energy Efficiency, which aims to save at least 27 TWh of end-use energy over the coming decade, in line with the government’s overall target for its energy savings.
